Hell no....This hotel was horrible. There was no hot water, the room smelled like mold. There were critters scurrying across the bathtub, the was walls and ceiling were in desperate need of repair. My closet was leaking water from the ceiling into my damn luggage. The bed....it was like sleeping on a wooden plank, unreal, like the bed had absolutely no give to it at all, I would have slept on the carpet but it was so dirty and stained. There was none of the usual tourist extras that you would get in american hotel, simple things like, local restaurant menus, maps of near by attractions, not even a damn yellow pages for god sakes. The only plus was that the hotel was one block away from the beach and there was a 24 hour walgreens right across the street and the bar tender Hector was a friggin awesome dude, real down to earth, too bad he has to work in that dump. Puerto Rico itself is so great,I loved it and cant wait to go back, this time I'll spend the extra money and stay at the Marriott ( located half a block away from the Diamond palace) which is where I hung out all night any ways as the casino there was top notch and they had free dancing as well. AND they charged me $30.00 extra when I checked out when the sign next to guest services says $5.00 a day I only stayed 3 days so I got jacked.
All in all they should change the name of the Diamond palace hotel to the Cubic zirconia hotel. Even that name is giving it more credit than its worth.
